The store's opening ceremony

Here I come. Thanks to the inspiraiton of Leo,one of my soul mates with whom I've been hitting it off since the day we met(more about Leo will be described in the sequel),I,a reserved, dull, conservative, cautious, traditional thinker arrived.Hopefully the guy is not late for this.

I am a junior big boy major in Engineering Management(ever heard of?hehe~) with a secondary subject, namely International Trade.I conceive myself as an economist not just because what I've been brought up with, but where I am-China,the uprising economy superpower. To tell you the truth,I'm a lot concerned about the Macro sector rather than the Micro sector which I was told to pay more attention to.You would never enjoy so much the fun of discovering what's happenning with the Chinese economy without being in China because it's so mystirous and full of uncertainties.Suffice to say,I often find myself perplexed with the economy because almost every western theory would make itself paradoxical here.

...ticktock...ticktock...

I hereby declare my appearance on 20six.co.uk as an opening ceremony of my little store full of questions&thoughts.Any comment or reply regarding to my rave will be well received and greatly appriciated. The self-introduction hereby comes to a halt.More details and specifics about me and my life will be provided later on.

Toast&Crumb

Read a report on the potential crises of Chinese economy this morning when lectured by a less mediocre lecturer.Seems that I've always been "moonlighting",hehe~~

The report expounded that under current economy growth patern China may encounter big problems.Chinese economy depends largely on investment, especially FDI(Foreign Direct Investment)seeking exporting profit oppurtunities rather than an expecting steady domestic demand.(In the year 2002,Chinese mainland surpassed US becoming the NO.1 investment absorber on the planet, with a total amount of $52.743 billion, among which a large proportion directed to the Manufacturing Industry.)

I'll tell you something. When the threat of China's uprising being advocated globally by those ideological-oriented westerners, millions of Chinese workers are striving in their American boss's keyboard assembly line for salary less than $75.That's for one month. What they do is just repeatedly putting all those nameless components together, sticking a "Made in China" lable to each keyboard's body, and then,by some other employees, export them back to the US or other parts of the world.

Apparently,95% or more value in that process belongs not to the countless hard-working workers, but their foreign bosses.Driven by a preferential investment policy prior to other economies, foreign corperations outsourced or is outsourcing their labor-intensive industry namely manufacturing industry to China,in search of the comparative labor cost advantage. Those $75-worthy workers would be perfect examples. Therefore, they got the toast while we got only the crumb.China is playing her role at the buttom of the Global Value Chain.

Suppose the annual $40 plus billion FDI directs to other economies, well then, the "Uprising Chinese Economy" might COLLAPSE.I'm not overstating the case or sensationizing. That may be realized if there being no reforms. And,the domestic corperations are at a criticle time pocessing their own PATENTS,the core competitiveness. An industrial update is urgent.

monologue...

He,wandering on the platform with a bounch of wrinkled lecture notes in his left hand and one of those special pens always seen in a book signing event, splattering spittle profusely, and attending to no other occupation than that of monologing,is a 50 plus man with heavy Shaan’xi dialect, our lecturer on Architectural Equipment.

The grandpa had about 30 listeners, less than half the number he deserved.Among the 30 attendants,no more than 15,from the very beginning, followed his course.Of course I was among the other 15.The prospect of understanding him made my head heavy and sight dim.I fell asleep in no time with my glasses, which I’d always put off beforehand, still on.

The monologist story is only a drop in the ocean.Students nationwide suffer from this kind of lecturers could be astronomical.Their strong demand of reforming the lecture to a more interactive style is routinely ignored, although they have never stopped demanding.Bored and scared by so many monologists, more people have chosen to be what they are rather than being suffocated.Sleep during class is just among the most common ways.

Someone said that every one is born a Marvel. But one might be distorted a Mediocrity under this culturalized education system,a cold-blooded creativity extinguisher.
